With Iowa Park filling its head football coach vacancy earlier this week, it’s looking like the area’s coaching changes at the 11-man level could be complete.

It wouldn’t be out of the ordinary if something still happens in the next month. Late changes happen from time to time.

But schools have made contractual commitments to their head football coaches by now. If another area change occurs, it’ll be because someone takes a new job or decides to change professions.

Before we analyze the 2025 area coaching cycle, let’s talk about the Hawks’ hiring of Bryan Wood real quick.

I wrote how Iowa Park’s opening should attract attention across the region and someone with head coaching experience should be expected. But I’m still impressed the Hawks landed someone with Wood’s resume.
